Here are a few FAQs that you'll probably be wondering about with EnergyOne:

Are we an engineering company?
No, we are not. For each project, we bring in several engineering companies that are best in the particular area of a given project (be it solar, or unique biomass gasification, or biofuels production) and let them compete to win your business. We make sure that you, the client, benefit the most from such competition and you end up with the best engineering company for the job. Because we do not provide engineering services, we are impartial during the selection process, as well as further down the road during the supervision and owner oversight of the selected engineering company.

Are we a construction company?
No, we are not. For each project, we bring in several construction companies that are best in the particular area of a given project (be it solar, or unique biomass gasification, or biofuels production) and let them compete to win your business. We make sure that you, the client, benefit the most from such competition and you end up with the best construction company for the job. Because we do not provide construction services, we are impartial during the selection process, as well as further down the road during the supervision and owner oversight of the selected construction company.

Are we a consulting company?
In certain aspects, we are. Some of our services, such as feasibility studies or business planning,  fall within clear definition of 'consulting'; however most any other services, such as project management, owner representation, construction supervision, operations & maintenance are quite far from 'consulting' field.

Are we a management company?
If you still want to put us in a rigid box - yes, we are. Most of what we do and where we add value for our customers is management. We manage projects, engineering, construction, we supervise on behalf of our clients, we operate and maintain, suggest best solutions and guide the implementation. We call it active management in renewable energy.

What project sizes do we like?
There is no too small or too big job for us; we will gladly get engaged with any renewable energy project - big or small. Historically we worked with projects in $5M to $500M range. While there are no firm guidelines, one would be likely not to seek our engagement for a project under $1 million as they are typically delivered 'turn-key' by the technology provider. Mega-projects, on the other hand, are still likely to retain our services, particularly at the beginning of their long journey while they are still building their executive teams and consider what areas of project expertise they would want to outsource, temporarily or forever.

How are we compensated?
We typically ask you to pay us. We never take an equity in a project or in a client company; we believe it impairs the clarity and arm-length nature of our relationship. While we want for your company to succeed, we have no intention or desire to sit on your Board and get involved in shareholder matters pertaining to your business. We want you to generate profits and be successful. When your project goes into operation, we take small portion of your sales - we call it royalty - as our compensation. Because of that, we can afford to charge you for only our minimal direct costs during pre-operational phases of the project. You preserve precious cash while the project is under development, we share in your success when your facility is running and generating cash.
