Energy One appoints experienced market leader as General Manager for mainland Europe

Energy One (ASX:EOL) is pleased to announce it has appointed accomplished energy industry leader, Vincent Dumontoy, as General Manager for its French and Belgian subsidiaries, previously known as eZ-nergy and EGSSIS.

Vincent has almost 25 years’ experience in the sector. His experience in energy trading and software for traders makes him a perfect fit with the value proposition of Energy One. Vincent is responsible for the management of the teams in Belgium and France that offer competitive software for short-term energy trading, nomination, and balancing operations across all major European markets, as well as a 24/7 operations desk working on behalf of customers to keep their portfolios balanced and positions matched.

Simon Wheeler, CEO of Energy One Europe, comments: “We are extremely delighted to welcome Vincent into Energy One. Having Vincent join at this time will ensure that Energy One Belgium and France continue their successful integration. We believe he is the right man to help implement our strategy and take us to the next level.”

Vincent Dumontoy adds: “I’m really excited to join Energy One. Talking to many of our clients and prospects, I have been amazed by their feedback on our products for short term trading and risk management for the power and gas markets. As they recognise themselves, it is not only the best functionally speaking, but the most technologically advanced within the industry. That’s most probably because Energy One has assembled a great team of people who are at the top of their game as industry and technology experts. With such strengths, I see only one way forward which is the acceleration of our growth momentum, and it will be my pleasure and honor to take a part in this story.”

Vincent started his career in Equity Derivatives and Cross Asset Trading, including roles at Morgan Stanley and Barclays Investment Bank in London, and Société Générale in Paris and New York. Following that, he joined Horizon Software, a French algotrading software company, where Vincent stayed for almost 10 years, moving through various roles including deputy head of electronic trading and global head of client solutions and services.
