Wintershall Dea is a leading independent European gas and oil company with full lifecycle capabilities for exploration, development and production activities, focusing on the regions of Northern Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
A decade with Energy One
In 2014 Wintershall engaged Energy One Belgium through an RFP process and decided to roll-out egssPort, the gas-focused nomination, balancing and scheduling solution. This was complemented with our outsourced 24/7 operational dispatching team who assists Wintershall since the roll-out with daily gas logistics across several European market areas. egssPort was deployed to enable gas shipping from the GASSCO grid in the North Sea to the trading hubs and end customers in Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
Wintershall and DEA merged in 2019, and as a result they took a good look at the IT infrastructure that would be needed to support the newly formed company. As an existing supplier Energy One competed in a full vendor selection process. Due to the great collaboration over the previous 5 years and our proven solutions and expertise Energy One was chosen. Our teams have continued to work with Wintershall Dea ever since then.
Big enough to look after you, small enough to care
With Energy One Belgium joining the global group in 2021 we have even more expertise and capabilities that could be useful for Wintershall Dea. However we keep the same customer centric mindset: being proactive, agile and flexible to keep our clients happy and build long-term relationships.
