Energy One supports Energi Fyn with ETRM software

The Company

Energi Fyn is a modern and regionally-based energy group, owned by 210,000 members on the Danish Island of Funen.

Energi Fyn owns and operates the electricity supply network on most of Funen. Energi Fyn handles billing and customer service for several supplies on Funen; sells electricity and natural gas to private individuals and businesses; offers various broadband solutions and establishes and operates the street lighting in several municipalities.

It offers competitive prices, high security of supply and good service to its customers.

The Challenge

A new team was recently formed at Energi Fyn that took over the use of enTrader, which meant that there was an urgent need for staff to understand the ETRM software.

The Solution

The team at Energy One UK was quick to respond to the needs of the new team at Energi Fyn by providing them with a detailed and robust training programme, to help them understand the ETRM software and rapidly realise its uses, capabilities and benefits.

Energi Fyn benefitted from a range of relevant training courses, from general enTrader guidance and set-up, to working with Positions and Curves. The team was able to ask questions and gain valuable support at a time when they needed it the most.

The Implementation

Energi Fyn has been a customer since 2014 when it joined as NGF Nature Energy A/S. In 2018, the company was acquired by Energi Fyn.

Energi Fyn uses Energy One’s enTrader ETRM software to receive and store all gas trades from Joule and ICE. They also feed enTrader with various consumption data and prices from its private and corporate customers.

The energy group uses enTrader for analysis and reporting, and thanks to integration with eZ-Ops, Energi Fyn can undertake easy and instant nominations.

The Results

The training made it easier to start working with enTrader, as it gave us knowledge of how the system worked. The training also offered us the opportunity to understand the additional tools and features that could be added within or in addition to the core functionalities of the ETRM software. It was especially beneficial to understand the in-built reporting system and the option for APIs.

The quality of training was very high; the team of experts were able to answer any question we asked about the ETRM solution.
