Energy One’s UK team launches support for lifesaving charity

Energy One’s UK team is proud to announce it is providing vital fundraising support to FastAid, a local charity dedicated to saving lives in the West Midlands.

Some members of the UK office (based in Solihull) recently met with volunteers and representatives from FastAid, to launch its support for the local cause.

FastAid is a volunteer-led charity working in partnership with West Midlands Ambulance Service. Its team of over 50 trained Community First Responders (CFRs) respond to 999 emergencies across the region’s local communities, often arriving before an ambulance to provide critical early care.

Team members at Energy One will be taking part in a series of activities, from contests and challenges to donations and collections, to help boost awareness and raise valuable funds for the charity, which is run entirely by volunteers.

Staff at Energy One were joined by FastAid’s Chair, Vice Chair and other trained Community First Responders, alongside two of the charity’s response cars, to officially launch its fundraising support. Each car carries the equipment needed to provide basic life support and treat medical emergencies.

Sunny Tiwana of Energy One comments: “We are very proud to be supporting FastAid and are truly grateful for the lifesaving work that the charity performs in our local area. Early CPR care and rapid action to stop bleeding is a real matter of life and death. We’re keen to boost awareness of FastAid, and in turn help to boost its donations, so that it can continue its life-saving work.”

A spokesperson for FastAid comments: “All our Community First Responders and charity members are volunteers and we rely on donations to enable us to remain a vital part of the emergency response network across Solihull and Birmingham. We are thrilled to have the valuable support of Energy One and are excited to witness their fundraising efforts!”

FastAid (Registered Charity 1117114) was founded by 2005. Its Community First Responders are dispatched to 999 emergencies across Birmingham, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield and Arden by the Ambulance Service.  The charity also supports the local community by hosting CPR Awareness events and providing free CPR and Stop the Bleed training.
